28mm Hanoverian Laffert Regiment in progress

These are a work in progress since the Analogue Painting comp i haven't done any work at home trying to get on the better side of the family, so i've been doing these guys in my lunchtime 30min a day for the past week I had to repaint the base coat of the yellow as i wasn't happy this looks better.
The pants still have a coat to go which will help the to look a bit more buff looking
Still a lot of work to go the mitre has all the detail yet but i think you can start to see what they will look like now

28mm Dixon cowboys & Indians

These were my last entries into the Analogue Painting comp which Ray Won, a big well done
I had a feeling that he was going to get there in the end. What a great challenge  I painted a huge amount of figures, but with my painting style and doing 28's against 15's it was going to be hard work, I'm really happy with what i was able to achieve. I now head back to my normal painting life of doing mainly commission work and my figures will once again head to the back of my cupboard. I didn't manage to clean out the cupboard but man did i make a dent in it. A big thanks to Curt who put on the challenge and to all who took part and made it as much fun as it was, some great painters out there see you next year.

28 Hanoverian infantry

This picture was taken about 11pm last night

Well the Analogue painting comp is drawing to a close and Ray has pulled out of the hat some huge points so its very close now, so what do i do,well i pick a really detailed and hard to paint job so after nearly two half days painting i've finished these lads which is a new record for me everything has at least three layers of paint some five, i will post pics after they have gone up on the comp. Today i headed back to the cowboys to see what looked like fun to paint

15mm Mycenaean Black Hat miniatures

Here we have a DBA Army painted for a friend of mine at the club Dave, the miniatures are Black Hat and they have really nice detail the only thing was the spears they are very soft and one broke off while painting, I had to drill the hand and glue it back together. I'm really happy with the end result. It was the first attempt at cow hide shields and it took four to five layers of paint to achieve the look i wanted depending on whether it was a black hide or brown.

the chariots were real fun to paint great detail sadly the axles were broken on two of them
